About your point though, its true u loose FULL traction when the wheels start spinning but the car has to come faster into the turn in order to achieve this drift and the spinning action of the wheels help the car pull in the direction it wants to go which makes it complete the turn at a higher speed. That is only if the drift was smoothly and properly done of course. But that is only my theory, i don't actualy know for sure if a car can make a turn faster one way or the other.
